Goat Milk Soap Class 7/19/2019 6 pm
If this date doesn’t work for you, email us and we can schedule a new class date!
This class goes into working with fresh from the farm goat milk in the soap. Goat milk soap is often desired for the softness and gentleness not found in many soaps. This class will go deeper into the process of making the soap with a careful eye on trace and watching for false trace in the soap. Never made soap before? That is ok, we will go over basic safety concerns while working with lye, so don’t worry, you will be able to catch up with the class.
This class will cover the basic safety elements of working with sodium hydroxide (lye) in cold process soap making. We will use some basic, nourishing oils to make a simple soap for you to take home. Each person will be able to personalize their soap a bit with a choice of additions. The joy in making your own soap is that you know EXACTLY what is in it and what is not. You can customize your soaps to your needs. Each person will receive a recipe to bring home and their own soap. Tell your friends! This is a fun and creative project. This class does have some chemical reactions associated with it. Participants must be able to follow directions. Young children may not be suitable for this class.
*you are welcome to bring your own wine and snacks if you so choose.
*there is no handicapped access to this class. There is a total of 4 porch steps to enter the soap making area.
The classes will be located at 118 R and R Acres Trail, Jamestown, SC 29453, cream colored home with a patio. Feel free to park along the driveway/road behind the house.
