About Our Farm

R and R Acres is a small, family-owned apiary and homestead tucked into the Lowcountry of South Carolina. We cherish the welcoming mix of towering pine trees and swaying palms and enjoy the relaxed rhythm of southern living. Our bees seem to love it here too — they happily buzz around the farm scouting for the best blooms to collect. We also maintain colonies on a variety of local farms across the Charleston area, which gives our bees a broad landscape to forage and helps them find the diverse nutrition they need. That diversity benefits us as well: the honey we harvest is a true blend of the Lowcountry’s pollen and captures the unique flavors of our region.

Each spring we sell bees in nucleus colonies, and, weather permitting during the spring and summer, we offer locally bred queens raised on our property. Our family stays active in state and local beekeeping organizations — Rebecca is a certified Master Beekeeper with the South Carolina Beekeeper Association, Trinity is a Journeyman-level beekeeper and was named 2023 Jr. Beekeeper of the Year, and Steven earned his Certified Beekeeper credentials in 2023. Beyond bees and honey, we offer fresh eggs, homestead-raised pork, pastured poultry, all-natural body products, and milk from our small dairy goats that we use to make soap. We stay busy caring for every part of the homestead.

All of our pork is born and raised right here on the farm, and when it’s time for processing the meat is handled and packed by a USDA facility to ensure safe, high-quality products for our family and yours. Our organic eggs are hand-gathered each day from pastured hens and packaged for sale at select markets and on the farm. We also provide organic, heritage-bred chicken and turkey meat that is corn- and soy-free. Coming soon in spring and summer: organic garlic, blackberries, onions, and more seasonal farm produce to share with our community.

Local Honey

We harvest honey straight from our bees. We do not add chemicals, water, or heat the honey. It is as natural as you can get. Our supply is seasonal. When we run out, it is gone until next year. We only sell our own honey so we can ensure that the honey is natural and of top quality.  Click our link to find out what is available.

Hive Products

Bees make much more than just honey. We use the wax and propolis they make and the pollen they collect and package it for you or make it into natural skin care products. Keep an eye out in our shop for new products or to order your favorite. Click the link for our Skin and Body Care Line. We also have a line of soaps!

Everyone needs a goat

What kind of farm would we be without a few bouncing goats all around? A pretty boring one that’s for sure. We milk our goats on our farm every day. We use that milk to create our goat milk soap, have goat milk soap making classes, goat yoga, and a few extra kids for sale in the Spring.

Fresh Homestead Pork

On our farm, in the middle of the Francis Marion National Forest we raise our very own heritage breed pigs. We breed for strength, gentleness, and flavor. We raise our pigs on pasture and the heritage breeds do best with the pasture range setting.
