Private Family Beekeeping and Honey jar Experience

A way to experience bees up close and take honey home with you!. If anyone is allergic or think they may be allergic to honey bees, this is not the experience for you! There is always a chance to be stung. We will take care to prepare you, but even in a suit, a person may be stung.

The class will take approximately 2.5 hours. Please plan on bringing drinks and any snack with you just in case you may be getting hungry.

We will help provide bee suits and gloves. Everyone should wear over the ankle style shoes, rain boots work great. We will be walking through a field so shoes you don’t mind getting dirty are great. A hat or bandanna are great for under the hoods of the beekeeping suits.

Bees are temperamental in cloudy weather. This experience e is weather dependent. We will need at least a partially sunny day during warmer weather. Most often before Oct 15th, but temperatures will need to be monitored. Safety of the bees and people are our main priority.

If anyone is feeling ill, running a fever, sore throat, coughing, please call and reschedule. We want everyone to be healthy and enjoy the experience.
